Subject: media education

media is used throughout my classroom.  I have my own smartboard so I integrate the internet into almost all of my lessons.  I feel this connects what we are learning to the outside world.  The students love the computers and take home the websites we use.  They often visit the websites at home for extra practice.  We also can watch video clips and hear sound clips.  We do this when we are learning about volcanoes or animals for example.  We also have a TV with cable in our classroom so I would be able to show the news if something was happening in our world that the students needed to know about.  For example, when the president was being elected, we watched a part of the news to see how the voting was going while studying the electoral process.  These are just some examples of how media plays into my classroom.

After all students submitted the use of media in their classrooms, we discussed and evaluate the similarities and differences.
