Michael Peek (Assistant Professor) received his Ph.D in Plant Biology from the University of Maryland in 2002 and his B.S. in Biology from Moravian College in 1995. Following receipt of his Ph.D, Dr. Peek was an NSF sponsored Research Fellow at Utah State University's Ecology Center before joining William Paterson University in the Fall of 2004. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in the areas of ecology, plant physiology, and biometrics.

Dr. Peek's research interests are 1) plant physiological ecology and 2) plant population ecology. His most recent publications can be found in Plant and Soil and New Phytologist.
