The Planning Committee for the VALE Users’/ NJLA CUS - NJ
ACRL Conference seeks proposals for Poster Sessions to be presented at the next
conference, Friday, January 9, 2009 at the Busch Campus Center of Rutgers
University.
The conference theme is “Ten Years of Experience, A Future of Possibilities.” The Planning Committee encourages proposals
highlighting initiatives for the practice of academic librarianship informed by
lessons learned from past experience, research, or the input of your user
communities. Proposals that emphasize and illustrate meaningful continuities or
contrasts between past and present/future practice are particularly encouraged.

Requirements for presenters on the day of the conference:
Δ Please stay with your poster from 9 to 10 am (before the Keynoter) and again from approximately 1:15 to 1:30 pm (before the afternoon breakouts begin). Posters will be exhibited in the registration area.
Δ Remember to bring plenty of business cards. We expect 250 attendees.
To submit a proposal:
Please email poster proposals (using one of the following formats: “.doc,” “.txt,” or “.rtf”) to the Planning Committee c/o Ruth Hamann, Passaic County Community College Library (email: rhamann@pccc.edu / tel: 973-684-5880).
Completed proposals are due no later than October 8, 2008. Proposals submitted before this deadline are most welcome. Decisions regarding the proposals will be announced by November 1, 2008. Although not required as part of the proposal, handouts should be forwarded to Ruth before the conference for posting on the Conference website/blog.
