TEACHING
Reform Calculus I am teaching Calculus II
this semester using the Harvard Consortium model. This continues my efforts to learn
techniques of teaching more applicable to the demands of a technological society, and at
the same time deepens the students' understanding of the subject.
Multivariable Workshop A workshop I attended,
through a National Science Foundation stipend, provided applications of the more abstract
material presented in Calculus III.

as a basis for an orchestral composition which was commissioned by the
Philadelphia Orchestra, and was premiered on March 2, 1987.
