Research Interests
My research interests include: 1) fossil chondrichthyans and osteichthyans from the upper Cretaceous of North America; 2) New Jersey Zeolite Mineralogy; and 3) Earth Science Education. Within these areas, some of my focus has included: systematic paleontology, fossilized behavior, paleoecology, taphonomy, mineral habit and crystal form pictorials, and classroom exercises for earth science teachers. Recent publications from this research can be found in: Journal of Vertebrate Paleontology (2005), Ichnos (2006), Journal of Paleontology (2006), Northeastern Geology and Environmental Science (2006) and the Geologic Association of New Jersey (2007).
**I welcome student participation in field work, fossil discovery and collection, and independent research. A number of past students have had the opportunity to co-author publications in peer-reviewed science journals and present research at national conferences.
