Dr. Louis J. Rivela

Professor of Chemistry - Department of Chemistry and Physics

I graduated from New Brunswick High School in 1959 and then attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick where I obtained the B.S. degree in Chemistry in 1963. I then enrolled in the University of North Carolina [Tar Heels] in beautiful Chapel Hill, North Carolina. I obtained the M.S. degree in
Inorganic Chemistry and the Ph.D. degree in Inorganic Chemistry with aminor in Analytical Chemistry . I joined the Faculty at WPU (Paterson State College at that time) in September 1969. My main love is " teaching " . I enjoy and thrive upon the classroom interaction . . . the communication and exchange of ideas. My teaching areas include General Chemistry I Lecture and Laboratory, General Chemistry II Lecture and Laboratory, Inorganic Chemistry , Analytical Chemistry, and Advanced Inorganic Chemistry.

I find a great deal of satisfaction pursuing and learning about:

Acada National Park is beautiful],
