The Women's Math Group was formed to support women students who
wish to become or are mathematics majors. The group provides a forum for discussion of
issues relating to the difficulties women encounter as mathematics majors from their peers
and society in general which views math and science as a male domain.
The group organizes
such activities as outings and conferences, career option discussions, lectures with
invited speakers and participation in departmental and Association
for Women in Mathematics events. Membership is open to all interested
students and faculty.
