SAFE LINKING WITH THE TI-82

If you intend to LINK safely and successfully, follow all directions! Work in pairs. One person will enter the requisite data in LIST 1 The other person will enter the requisite data in LIST 2. Then use the LINK to transfer the Lists to each other.

Each person should press [2nd] [LINK]. The screen below will appear.


The first person (Sender) will send the data in LIST1 to the other person (Receiver). The Receiver should use the keystrokes:

[ > ] to see the screen on the right.


Then [ENTER].

The TI-82 will display Waiting . . . and the busy indicator.Be sure that the calculator shows Waiting . . . before anything is sent!

The Sender should choose <2:selectall-. . .> to send individual items such as programs, graph data bases, pictures, lists, matrices, Y= functions, window settings, table settings, real variables, anything that that can be stored in Memory. These items are listed on the calculator screen.

The Sender should use the [ V ] to cursor down to the appropriate item, in this case L1. Then [ENTER]. The screen will appear as shown.


Transmit L1 using: [ > ] [ENTER]

This should take a few seconds.

If there is a transmission problem, the Receiver will see the screen on the right. Try again!
