Rider Fitness Horseback riding is a challenging sport that requires muscle strength and coordination. An effective rider has the core body strength to keep her body tall in the saddle and control the horse's movement. Members are urged to visit the Rec Center 3 to 4 times a week for individual work outs or group classes. Coach Hayley suggests running (or walking) 2 miles three times per week; 20 push ups per day; 200 crunches per day. Please remember!! Members are required to undergo a physical at the beginning of the semester from the Health & Wellness Center. As always, no physical activity should be done without consulting a doctor first. |
