Our Team The William Paterson University Equestrian Team is a club sport funded by the Student Government Association. The team provides students with the unique opportunity to take lessons and show at highly discounted rates. An average horseback riding lesson may cost anywhere between $40-60/hour. However, team dues of $175 cover weekly lessons for an entire semester. Riders of all experience levels are welcome to join - in fact, competitions are set up so you compete against peers of the same riding ability. When a rider does well in a division, she earns points - enough points, and she moves up to the next division! In addition to individual riders earning points the team earns points and competes against other schools such as Centenary, Drew, SUNY New Paltz, and more. You don't need to own a horse to join the team or show. Lessons are held at Holland Hills Farm and everybody does their best to carpool! Lessons are held at various times throughout the week thanks to Coach Hayley, who does her best to fit us into her schedule. If you'd like to learn more, please visit one of the links to the left.
