Please be advised that the Euphrates server, in its current form, is due to be retired in the near future. From now on only accounts that are coursework-related will be created and carried over to the new server. As such, we must ask if your request for an account is to complete required coursework or for personal usage. If the former, we will be happy to create the account for you. But if the latter, you would be better served by seeking out other webhosting alternatives. |
- If you applying for a student or faculty account your accountname will be identical to your WPUNJ username (email address), i.e. your last name plus your first initial (ex: MillerR, for Robert Miller) plus an integer if that username is in use.
- Your account will be activated within 48 hours, or 72 on the weekends.
- You can use any FTP client to upload your web page to your new directory.
- The first page web users will see when they go to your home page must be named "default.htm".
- PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS A 50MB STORAGE LIMIT ON ALL EUPHRATES ACCOUNTS. Exceeding this limit can result in a loss of your data and/or of your priviledges to use the server.
Attention! New Password Policy!
- New accounts will no longer be able to choose a password.
- Your password will automatically be set to your Banner ID Number .
- Please do not confuse this with the BlackBoard and Email Systems.
- Your password will always be your Banner ID number no matter what your other password(s) may be.
- Only accounts created before 11/13/2003 will have passwords other then a social security number.
